About this project

Bates Creative ran a campaign called Storytellers By Design, a concept meant to inspire clients and prove that design wasn’t just crafting visuals, but telling the stories of those it represented. For a print ad campaign, I created three ads with various ‘stories’ bursting out of the Bates B. The first was a photoshoot with a local (delicious) burger, creating type out of ketchup and combining the result onto a B. The second was a digitally illustrated series of gears, revealing the inner workings of the company. The final ad showcased a B hand crocheted using thick thread, emphasizing the craft involved in each story’s construction. The series was combined with the work of other Bates designers to construct a multi-faceted reflection of the company’s skillsets and personal stories.
