About this project
Each year, AMP hosts the Excel Awards to celebrate association content and design. AMP’s Signature Magazine themes one issue with the Awards. In 2016, I approached the editor with an idea to elevate the Awards Issue identity: creating a luxury coffee table series in white and gold. Each cover uses the physical award’s form—an X—to create patterns, elaborate frames, and seals. The strategy was meant to encourage readers to review and keep the issue as a compendium of great design.
